New Hampshire Woman's Death Ruled a Homicide

Melissa Hatch died from multiple sharp injuries, including deep incised wounds to the neck

An autopsy completed Sunday revealed the 42-year-old New Hampshire woman found dead inside a Madison home died of multiple sharp injuries, authorities announced Sunday.

The chief medical examiner determined that the manner of Melissa Hatch's death was homicide. The cause was multiple sharp injuries, including deep incised wounds of the neck.

Police responded to a 911 call Friday night in Madison and discovered the body of Hatch, a resident of the town. A juvenile was arrested and charged with second-degree murder

Officials have not provided any information about the juvenile.

The investigation into the circumstances of Hatch's death remains active and ongoing.
