Bakery Owner to Give Away Business to Person With Best Essay

Shop owner Maria Enemark and her three daughters will collect the submissions, narrow down the pool to 100 finalists and have a panel of three judges read the essays

The owner of a southeastern Massachusetts bakery says she's giving away her shop to the person who writes the best essay about why they should receive the patisserie.

The Boston Globe reports contestants are to write a compelling argument in 250 words or less on why they should receive Sweets Coffee, Cakes & Treats in Kingston.

Shop owner Maria Enemark and her three daughters will collect the submissions, narrow down the pool to 100 finalists and have a panel of three judges read the essays. They will select the winner.

The family expects to announce the winner in October.

Contestants must also send in $150.

One of her daughters says they were inspired to host the giveaway after reading about a similar contest in Maine.
