Man Arrested in Murders of 2 Found Dead Inside Burning Truck

A man has been arrested in connection with the murders of two people who were found dead inside a burned delivery truck in Bangor, Maine.

Twenty-five-year-old John De St. Croix of Bangor has been charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of Michael Bridges and Desiree York.

De St. Croix was arrested on Friday after being interviewed by Bangor police detectives. He's currently at the Penobscot County Jail awaiting arraignment. It's unclear if he has an attorney.

Investigators didn't immediately release any other details about the case or the arrest.

Crews responded to a fire involving an unmarked delivery truck on Washington Street on Wednesday evening.

When the fire was extinguished, firefighters discovered the bodies of Bridges, 43, and York, 36, both Bangor residents, inside.

De St. Croix could face more charges in connection with the ongoing investigation, according to authorities.
