Man Accused of Taking Secret, Explicit Photos of Women at Air Base

A Massachusetts man has been arrested after he allegedly took secret explicit photos of women inside a locker room at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield and in a Chicopee home.

Jason Venne 35, of Chicopee, was charged with four counts of electronic secret surveillance, two counts of child pornography possession and two counts of pose/exhibit child in a nude/lascivious pose.

He was arrested outside of Barnes Air Base Friday morning.

Police say they started their investigation in mid-November, when they were alerted to the existence of disks containing explicit photos of women who were recorded without their knowledge in what appeared to be a home in Chicopee and as well as locker rooms at the Barnes Air Base.

Investigators were able to identify and speak with the victims.

An investigation led detectives to Venne, and a judge granted them an arrest warrant along with a search warrant for his home on Summit Avenue.

He's due in Chicopee District Court Friday. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
