A beloved Portland, Maine bar is closing its doors for good.
The Brian Boru Public House, a fixture in the city’s Old Port area, announced early Friday morning on Facebook that it would permanently close at 1 a.m. Monday.
Daniel Steele, the owner of the establishment, thanked patrons and the city for their support over the years.
Founded in 1993, the pub was a popular place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
