Police ID Woman Struck and Killed on Berlin Turnpike

A 56-year-old Berlin woman is dead after a vehicle hit her on the Berlin Turnpike just before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to Berlin police.

Police have identified the woman as Lisa D’Addario and said she was hit in the area of 1376 Berlin Turnpike.

An ambulance brought her to Hartford Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The people in the car that hit D’Addario were not hurt and police said the driver is cooperating with police. No charges have been filed.

The Berlin Turnpike was shut down until almost 11 p.m. in the area of Middletown Road while the accident reconstruction team investigated.
