Police: Person Hit, Killed by Commuter Rail

Authorities confirm a person was hit and killed by an MBTA commuter rail train in Beverly, Massachusetts, Friday.

The body was discovered on the outbound tracks at Beverly Depot on 10 Park St. The depot's northbound tracks have been closed as a result, according to Beverly's police chief.

Beverly police say they're assisting MBTA police with the investigation.

Sky Ranger footage shows police blocking off access to part of the tracks at the scene.

No other details were immediately available.
