Bicyclist Killed in Crash; Driver Charged

A 60-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle.

The crash happened Wednesday night in the town of Ferrisburgh, Vermont.

State police say 36-year-old Ferrisburgh resident Holly Gonyeau was traveling south on Greenbush Road when she hit Kenneth Najarian. The Charlotte man was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police say Gonyeau provided a preliminary breath test indicating a blood alcohol content of .123 percent. She faces a charge of driving under the influence, and is scheduled to appear in Addison County Criminal Court on June 29.

The crash remains under investigation.
