A body was found Saturday morning on the banks of the Kennebec River in Pittston, Maine, the Kennebec County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
A witness on a boat reported seeing the body around 11:40 a.m. Officials with the Sheriff's office and Pittston Fire responded and discovered the female victim.
Officials do not believe the death is suspicious.
Investigators are working to identify the victim.
