Alcohol and frigid overnight temperatures are being blamed for the death of an elderly man in Rutland, Vermont.
Richard Lloyd, 74, was reported missing at 1:21 a.m. on Saturday after not returning home following a visit to a friend's store on Prospect Hill Road in Rutland the previous afternoon.
At 4:22 a.m., Lloyd's truck was located off of Blueberry Lane in Rutland. Vermont State troopers were able to locate a set of footprints which led from Lloyd's truck to a wooded area. With help from the K-9 unit, Lloyd's body was discovered.
