Boston Bruins' Brad Marchand Suspended 2 Games

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been suspended for the final two games of the regular season for spearing Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Jake Dotchkin, according to the NHL.

The Bruins are on a six-game winning streak, and clinched their first playoff berth since 2014 with their 4-0 win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday night.

Marchand missed the last two periods of Tuesday's game after spearing Dotchkin in front of the Lightning net. He has now been suspended seven times in his career, and was fined the maximum $10,000 by the league earlier this season.

The Bruins are scheduled to play the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night and the Washington Capitals on Saturday. The NHL playoffs are scheduled to get underway next week.
