‘Boston Cab' Owner to Pay $2M in Fines After Tax Evasion Charge

Edward Tutunjian has operated Boston Cab for four decades

The owner and operator of "Boston Cab" will pay a hefty restitution fee, after being charged with payroll tax evasion. 

Edward Tutunjian, who has operated Boston Cab for four decades, was also charged with employing undocumented workers and failing to pay overtime wages. 

Tutunjian, 66, is accused of hiding the size of his company payroll from the IRS. 

He has signed a plea agreement. 

He and his company are expected to pay more than $2.3 million in restitution.
