Two men have been arrested after a Prudential Center window was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning.

According to Boston police, 28-year-old Mario Escobar, of Roxbury, and 25-year-old Carlos Perez-Mejia, of Jamaica Plain, were arrested Sunday morning after police responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 867 Boylston Street in the city's Back Bay neighborhood.

When officers arrived on scene, they were provided a description of two suspects and the vehicle they were driving.

Police searched the area and found a car matching the description they were given. They interacted with the driver and passenger and subsequently removed them from the vehicle. Police say the officers located a 9mm Ruger firearm inside of a bag underneath the passenger's seat.

Both Escobar and Perez-Mejia were arrested.

Further investigation led officers to 888 Boylston Street where they located ballistic damage to one of the windows.

Escobar and Perez-Mejia are charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, malicious destruction of property and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

The two suspects are expected to arraigned in Boston Municipal Court. It is unclear if they have attorneys.
