Boston Police Arrest Suspect in Deadly Shooting

After more than two months, Boston police have made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting in Dorchester.

Twenty-eight-year-old Marquis Martin from Roxbury was taken into custody at a hotel in Rhode Island.

Martin has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of David Cole back in October 2017.

The murder happened in the area of 7 Peninsula Place in Dorchester on Oct. 29.

Officers responded to the scene and found Cole suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

Police said at time Martin's arrest, he was wanted on several additional warrants including one issued out of Roxbury District Court for assault while armed with intent to murder in connection to a non-fatal shooting that occurred just prior to the fatal shooting of Cole.
It's unclear when Martin will appear in court to face charges.
