Boston Police: Man Robbed Woman and Son at Knifepoint, Exposed Himself

Boston police say a man robbed a woman and her 10-year-old son at knifepoint before indecently exposing himself Monday morning.

The robbery happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 200 block area of Paris Street in East Boston.

Police said the victim, 43, and her son were leaving their home when the suspect, who had a folding knife, entered the stairwell area and told the victims to sit on the steps.

"When we opened the door, the guy came in," the woman said off-camera through an interpreter. "He was tall with his face covered, all dressed in black."

The suspect then took money from the victim’s purse before exposing himself and ordering the victims back upstairs.

A neighbor, hearing the commotion, ran downstairs and yelled at the suspect, who then fled in a dark-colored sedan that was parked with its hazards on at the corner of Marion and Paris streets.

The suspect is described as a male with green eyes and yellow hair, about 6’2” tall with a muscular build, wearing all-black clothes, a black hat and a black mask. Police believe the sedan could be a Toyota Corolla or Camry with a partial registration plate of 5FX.

Boston police are actively investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (617) 343-4234.
