    Boston Police Release Names of 16 Arrested in Sting

    Police clean up Boston's 'Methodane Mile' on Thursday, Aug. 1 2019. Prior to the cleanup, 15 people were arrested in a raid that was prompted after an officer was beaten by a group of people in the area earlier in the day.

    Boston police released the names of the people arrested in its "clean up the streets" effort Friday night.

    The department's sting was an effort to improve safety in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Southampton Street often referred to as Methadone Mile.

    Officers arrested the following people:

    • Robert Sullivan, 36, of Foxborough
    • Ronald Leclair, 38, of West Roxbury
    • Rashad Blount, 32, of Trenton, NJ
    • Andre Walker, 60, of Mattapan
    • Daniel Rossetti, 27, of Medford 
    • Jamal Smith, 31, of Roxbury
    • Michael Clancy, 35, of Plymouth 
    • William Dewolfe, 44, of South Boston
    • Amanda Torres, 30, of New Bedford
    • Jeffrey Andrews, 34, of Norton 
    • Sydney Currier, 31, of Manchester, NH
    • Taff Bishop, 32, of Bronx, NY 
    • Nicole Martin, 25, of East Boston
    • Devin Newbery, 27, of Pittsfield 
    • Terry Byner, 57, of Dorchester
    • Ronald Rodgers, 56, of Jamaica Plain

    15 Arrested in 'Methadone Mile' in Raid

    The attack of an officer in Boston's "Methadone Mile" prompted a cleanup and raid that resulted in 15 arrests.
