Boston Police Search for Suspect in Sexual Assault

Victim told police she was assaulted near the Greenway

Police in Boston are searching for the suspect in an alleged sexual assault of a woman that happened early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the area of State Street and Atlantic Avenue at 4:11 a.m. where the victim told police she had been walking through the Greenway in the direction of the carousel when man approached and sexually assaulted her.

The victim said the man, who appeared to be homeless, fled after the assault.

The suspect is described as in his 40’s or 50’s, with scruff on his face, about 5'5" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark-colored Bruins jersey and a baseball hat at the time of the attack.
