A month before Boston Pride 2018 kicks off, more than a dozen banners were unveiled throughout the city on Monday.

The 20 banners featuring this year's theme, "Rainbow Resistance," were raised on street poles throughout the Back Bay and around City Hall Plaza beginning at 11 a.m.

The banners are being placed along the route of the annual Boston Pride Parade that takes place on Saturday, June 9 at noon.

Pride Week takes place June 1 through June 10.
