Boston Women's March Scheduled for Saturday

Many women in the Boston area will participate in the 2019 Boston Women's March on Saturday, according to Boston.com.

Two years ago marked the first Boston Women's March, which amassed a total of 175,000 participants in the Boston Common and surrounding area. Organizers say they are now concentrating on revitalizing the movement with new energy and a greater emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

Events will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the march itself beginning at 12:30 and ending around 2 p.m. following a loop around downtown Boston.

Democratic Massachusetts Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley is scheduled to speak, among others.
