Boston to Spend $400K on Seaport Gondola Study

The city of Boston is set to spend $400,000 on a study to determine whether to build a gondola system in the Seaport District.

The Boston Herald reports that the study was approved by the Boston Planning and Development Agency on Thursday night.

The study will be done over the next year.

Gondolas will be just one of the transportation options looked at in an effort to decrease congestion in the Seaport. The money for the study will be drawn from a mitigation fund paid for by developer WS Development.
