A Massachusetts man is facing multiple charges following a two-car crash in Wareham on Wednesday night.
Police responded to the crash on Onset Avenue shortly before 10 p.m.
Police said one of the drivers, Christophe Ardita, 45, of Bourne, was driving drunk when he crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. No one was injured in the crash.
Witnesses told police Ardita ran into a wooded area nearby after the crash and returned shortly before police arrived. Police checked the wooded area and found a loaded handgun registered to Ardita.
Ardita was arrested and was arraigned Thursday on multiple charges, including operating under the influence of alcohol and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
