A three-year-old Massachusetts boy who has been battling brain cancer for months has been getting lots of special visits as he remains stuck in isolation at his Weymouth home.
Quinnie, known as "The Mighty Quinn," has been in isolation since his last round of chemotherapy at Boston Children's Hospital. In February, he was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, a brain tumor on the brain stem, and doctors removed 95% of it, according to his Facebook page.
The toddler earned his nickname "The Mighty Quinn" due to the number of hospital stays and stem cell treatments and chemotherapy he has endured.
While he awaits a stem cell transplant, Quinnie must avoid infection.
His mother, Quincy police officer Tara Waters, put out a request to fellow law enforcement for visitors to stop by their front window, according to The Patriot Ledger.
Since that request, the toddler has received visits from the Special Operations Unit, Quincy Officer Christian Donovan and his police dog Hodor and local singer Declan Houton.
"I've got some fantastic people around me who have seriously looked after Quinnie and my family... today my co-worker was one of those people," Waters wrote on the Facebook page.
