Boy Found Wandering Alone in Boston Reunited With Parents

Boston Police confirm a child was found wandering alone early Friday morning in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood and has since been reunited with his parents.

Boston EMS received a call around 3:40 that the boy was spotted in the area of Columbia Road and I-93 near the on-ramp. Police believe the child is between 6-and-8-years-old

The MBTA says an employee who performs overnight maintenance work on the Red Line spotted the child and alerted authorities.

The boy was transported to Boston Medical Center for evaluation when he was found.

The Department of Children and Families has been contacted.

The incident remains under investigation.
