Man Struck, Killed by 3 Cars in Quincy Identified

The man who died from his injuries after he was hit by three vehicles in Quincy on Sunday evening has been identified, according to the Norfolk District Attorney's Office.

Authorities said Timothy M. Ring, 46, of Quincy, was hit in the area of 840 Willard St. at about 6:30 p.m.

The crash was originally reported by authorities as happening in Braintree. Local police from both towns reported to the scene.

All of the drivers involved in the crash — a 52-year-old Brockton woman, a 51-year-old North Quincy woman, and a 40-year-old Quincy woman — stayed at the scene.

State police say a preliminary investigation suggests the 52-year-old Brockton woman, who was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry sedan, was the first to hit Ring. He was then hit by another 2004 Toyota Camry being driven by the 51-year-old North Quincy woman and was hit by a third and final time by a 2016 Mazda CX5 driven by the 40-year-old Quincy woman, according to police.

Ring was then taken to South Shore Hospital, where he died.

The district attorney said the entire matter remains under investigation. No charges or citations have been issued at this time.
