    Man Accused in Brutal Brockton Bat Beating

    A Brockton man has been charged after police say he attacked another man with a bat behind a store.

    A man pleaded not guilty to allegations that he beat another man with a bat in Brockton, Massachusetts, late Tuesday night.

    Twenty-eight-year-old Brockton resident Jean Brazile was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and mayhem, according to Brockton police.

    Officers responded to the parking lot of the Brockton Mini Mart on Pleasant Street at about 10 p.m., where the victim had been beaten with a bat.

    The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Brockton Hospital with serious injuries. His current condition is unclear.
