Live music and a parade will be among the planned festivities for Saturday's bash

Happy birthday Burlington, Vermont!

The city of Burlington is celebrating its 150th birthday on Saturday at the Contois Auditorium and other locations, with music, a community photo and a parade of school kids with handmade lanterns.

Organizers say tickets to the event at Contois Auditorium have all been reserved but the celebration will also be broadcast live on CCTV Channel 17 and a number of restaurants on Church Street will have overflow seating available.

There's also a photo exhibit in City Hall, tours of the fire station, a talk on Burlington's history and a screening of the film ""Little Jerusalem: Burlington's Jewish Community," both at the Fletcher Free Library.

More information and a schedule of events can be found on the city's website
