Coast Guard: 5 People Pulled From Buzzards Bay After Boat Crashes

A call came into the Coast Guard at 8:15 p.m. Monday for a report that a boat had crashed

Five people were pulled from Buzzards Bay after the boat they were in hit a dike, the Coast Guard said late Monday night.

The Coast Guard received a call from the Wareham Harbormaster at 8:15 p.m. Monday reporting a boat had crashed.

Two of the five people were rescued by a Wareham police officer. The other three were rescued by the Wareham Harbormaster.

All five are currently being evaluated by EMS.

The Wareham Fire Department retrieved the boat and towed it to land.
