Calling Hours, Vigil Set for Teen Found Dead in Motel

Calling hours and a candlelight vigil have been scheduled for a 17-year-old girl whose body was found in a Rochester, New Hampshire, motel room over the weekend.

The memorial is scheduled for Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home in Rochester for Evangelique "Eve" Tarmey.

The Spaulding High School student was found dead at the Riviera Hotel early Saturday. Her mother and a male companion also were there.

An autopsy was conducted. Authorities said the cause of death will not be determined until toxicology results are returned. The Rochester Police Department continues to investigate the case and says it is being treated as a possible drug overdose.

Friends of Tarmey's are organizing a candlelight vigil for her on Sunday night at the Rochester Commons.
