A man accused of photographing and recording 53 different men in the bathroom stall at Cambridgeside Galleria mall pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Thursday.

Paul Leondike was stopped by mall security in October of last year after a report that he took photographs or videos of other men in the bathroom using his cell phone.

The Cambridge Police Department investigated the incident and searched Leondike’s phone and computer. The investigation revealed several videos of men using the bathroom on October 9, 2017 and September 29, 2017.

The police determined that one of the victims was 17 years old at the time the photos were taken.

Prosecuter Wendy Amanda Safran said in court Thursday that Leondike admitted to using his cell phone to video other men and spending at least three hours in the stall of the men’s bathroom each time.

He allegedly used his cellphone to take videos either over or under the stalls adjacent to his after the men had entered the stalls.

Leondike admitted to police that the other men did not know he was taking the videos.

His attorney requested that he be released without bail because the alleged event took place over a year ago, and he has had any other incidents.

Leondike was ordered to stay away from the alleged victims in the case, as well as the CambridgeSide Mall. He also will have to endure random checks on his photographs and videos on his phone.

A pre-conference trial is set for Nov. 16.
