    Sunday marks the one year anniversary of a 10-alarm fire that damaged 18 buildings in Cambridge and displaced about 100 residents.

    Sunday marks the one year anniversary of a 10-alarm Cambridge fire that damaged 18 buildings and displaced about 100 residents.

    No serious injuries or deaths were reported during the Dec. 3, 2016 blaze.

    Fire officials said the fire started in an area near some recycling bins but high winds fanned the flames, spreading the fire throughout the neighborhood.

    Fire officials determined the blaze was caused by a contractor's careless disposal of smoking materials.
