One person is dead after a pickup truck travelled off the road, crossed over a lawn, and hit him in a driveway in Canton.
The Norfolk County District Attorney's office says the victim, 76-year-old Ralph Hawkins of Canton, was hit by the truck while standing on a High Street property Saturday morning.
Hingham Police say that a 48-year-old Stoughton man was traveling on High Street when his pickup truck left the road for unknown reasons.
Hawkins was taken to Boston Medical Center but later succumbed to his injuries.
There are no charges in the accident at this time but it remains under investigation by the CARS unit of the Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk County DA.
