Car Collides with Moose in Maine

At about 9 PM, Paul McCleary was driving north on Route 2A in Glenwood Plantation when a moose crossed the lane in front of his car

A moose-car collision Tuesday night left the moose dead and the car heavily damaged in Glenwood Plantation, Maine.

At about 9 p.m. Paul McCleary was driving north on Route 2A when a moose crossed the lane in front of his car.

Unable to avoid the animal, McCleary struck the moose causing substantial damage to the hood, front bumper, both windshields, and the roof of his Chevrolet sedan.

McCleary suffered a cut to his head and a wrist injury. He was attended by Calais Fire EMS at the crash site. His car was demolished.
