A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a house Thursday afternoon in Somerville, Massachusetts.
Crews responded to the scene after a 911 hangup on Ibbeston Street. Police say a responder was ringing the doorbell to that home when a car came flying out of the driveway.
Police believe the driver was trying to flee the scene when he clipped another vehicle and crashed into a neighbor's house.
The man was transported from the scene by ambulance. The extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.
Authorities do not believe the crash was intentional.
Inspectional services are working to determine whether the home's foundation was damaged.
The investigation is ongoing.
