Two men have been hospitalized after an Augusta, Maine, crash in which authorities say a vehicle was split in two.
Authorities say the car hit several small trees, causing it to break apart on Thursday night.
WCSH-TV reports that the driver and a passenger were extricated from the crash and taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police say speed and/or alcohol are expected factors in the crash. Authorities are investigating.
