Carson Beach-Goers Relish the Suddenly Hot Temps

Today was the day that many Bostonian beach-goers had been hoping for.

“After endless months of sleet and rain and snow, it’s about time we had some nice weather out," said Rachel Sadoff as she enjoyed a day at Carson Beach in South Boston with friends.

With temperatures hovering around 90 degrees, it was a perfect day to stay active, with plenty of people enjoying volleyball in the sand.

Parents also relished the opportunity to bring their little ones out to the beach.

“For her," said father Keith Frederick, motioning to his daughter, "just to see that smile, it’s amazing to me. It just makes me a better person that I feel inside.”

And in New England, where the water can be a little cold in the early summer months, people said it felt just right -- or at least, "not as cold as I was expecting," as one beach-goer described it.
