Charges to Be Filed After 3 Injured in Truck Rollover Crash in Bowdoin, Maine

The driver, 28-year-old Robert Mathews Jr., of Bath, lost control of the truck on a curve in heavy fog

Police say a combination of speed and alcohol are factors in a pickup truck rollover crash in Bowdoin, Maine, Wednesday night. 

State Police responded to the scene off Route 138 around 10:30 p.m. 

The driver, 28-year-old Robert Mathews Jr., of Bath, lost control of the truck on a curve in heavy fog, causing the truck to overcome several times. 

He and a 16-year-old passenger were thrown from the truck as it overturned. 

A second passenger, 19, had to be freed from the wreck by firefighters. 

There were all taken to Central Maine Medical Center with multiple injuries, but their conditions are not known. 

State police say charges will be filed against Mathews.
