    An officer and another motorist suffered minor injuries and were taken to Cape Cod Hospital on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019 following a car crash in Chatham, Massachusetts.

    An officer and another driver were hospitalized after they were involved in a car crash in Chatham, Massachusetts.

    The crash was reported shortly after 6 p.m. Monday near the intersection on Old Queen Anne Road and Partridge Path, police said.

    A 2007 Toyota Sequoia operated by 35-year-old Andrea Wilson was traveling east on Old Queen Anne Road. Meanwhile, 48-year-old Officer Andrew Hutton was traveling on Partridge Path in a marked police cruiser before the two crash.

    Both drivers were taken to Cape Cod Hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

    Police say Hutton was not responding to any services when he was traveling. Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available.

    The cause remains under investigation.
