A Market Basket employee is under fire after being caught on cell phone video allegedly engaging in an altercation at his store in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
A customer at the Everett Avenue store, who did not want to be identified, captured the video on Friday afternoon while waiting in line at the checkout area.
The customer told NBC Boston that she saw the manager in a red jacket yell at an employee and grab him by the back of his shirt. The two allegedly engaged in a scuffle and the employee ended up on the floor. When the manager started kicking him, other employees rushed over.
Chelsea Police said the manager was placed on leave as a result of the incident.
Police said both employees involved have declined to press charges, however, authorities are looking at store surveillance to see if any charges will be pursued.
