Vermont State Police say a 9-year-old child has been airlifted to the hospital after getting struck by a car in Weybridge.
Mynbc5.com reports that police say the girl unexpectedly walked into Weybridge Road and was hit early Thursday afternoon. Police say the driver tried to stop, but ended up hitting the child.
The girl was rushed to the hospital in Middlebury and then airlifted to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
Police say she had severe head and internal injuries.
