A 13-year-old boy was shot Wednesday evening in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
The victim, who has been identified as Juan Lopez Delgado, was shot in the shoulder, according to police. His cousin tells necn the boy was asleep in bed at his Bellingham Street home at the time.
The bullet, according to the cousin, came through the window and hit him in the shoulder.
The child was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and is in stable condition. He underwent surgery and is expected to be OK.
Police say they are actively searching for at least one suspect whom they have obtained a warrant for.
The name of the suspect is being withheld until they make an arrest.
The suspects took off in a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer after the shooting.
