A child was hospitalized after falling from a third-floor porch in East Boston Wednesday night, police confirm.
The call came in at 8:08 p.m. for the incident at 54 Brooks St.
A man who was visiting his sister says the male child, believed to be between 1-and 2-years-old, fell onto a tarp and then landed on the man's back. The boy was crying and bleeding from the mouth when the man picked him up.
The child's mother came running to get him.
The child was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and his condition is not known at the time.
