High pressure from southeast Canada brought a mostly clear sky overnight with temperatures starting out in the 40s and 50s with low humidity Wednesday morning.
The same front with all the heavy thunder Monday turns back toward the north with clouds increasing Wednesday.
With enough sunshine, many of us warm to 80 degrees or better once again.
Clouds will thicken up and there's a chance of a shower at the Canadian border and near New York City by sunset. Another front from Canada moving into Maine will weaken as it pushes south with refreshing air.
However, the wave of low pressure south of New England may generate some heavy rain from Connecticut to Cape Cod and the islands overnight into early Thursday.
This is the same region that almost completely missed the action Monday, so some rainfall may be welcome.
Either way, whatever happens Wednesday night, it will push out and leave us with a nice Thursday and Friday.

Once again, it's low humidity and air from Canada. It's also cooler with sunshine and high temperatures tomorrow and Friday in the 70s.
The old front will move back north, though, on Saturday with increasing clouds and a chance of showers by afternoon with high temperature in the 70s. We may have fog developing at the south coast by late in the day.
We are on the warm and sticky side of the front Sunday with a mixture of sun and clouds high temperature in the 80s, with a few thunderstorms possible.
It's not a washout of a weekend, but is a case where some towns may get appreciable rain, while other towns stay dry all together.
