After a bright and chilly start to our day, clouds have rapidly increased as the remnants of Nestor move up the East Coast.

It will be a rain-free afternoon with the chance for light rain increasing towards midnight, especially along the South Coast, Cape Cod and Islands. This system is a fast-mover so by Monday morning, a sprinkle or two can’t be ruled out over the Outer Cape, but most of us will start the week under a mostly sunny sky.

Highs will warm into the low 60s, except for the coast, where an onshore wind will keep coastal communities in the upper 50s.

By Tuesday, clouds increase once again ahead of a cold front that approaches the region late in the day. This front will tap into some ocean moisture associated with what’s leftover from Nestor, so scattered showers return to our forecast and last until Wednesday morning.

Rainfall accumulations will range between half inch to almost an inch. We do dry out Thursday, but there’s another chance for rain (and even a few snowflakes over the mountains) Friday night into the weekend.

Our exclusive 10-day forecast shows temperatures won’t vary much this week-highs will remain at or around 60 degrees.
