A 32-year-old petty officer with the US Coast Guard is accused of possessing child pornography.
Ryan Ruff of West Barnstable, Massachusetts, was taken into custody Wednesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to The Boston Globe.
The newspaper reports that Ruff is being held at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility pending bracelet monitoring.
Ruff is also facing separate allegations of driving while intoxicated.
