Authorities have suspended a search for a possible person in the water after finding a swamped boat at the mouth of the Essex River in Massachusetts.
A report for the swamped boat came in around 11 a.m. Monday after a good Samaritan had seen the 17-foot pleasure craft before it became swamped heading toward the mouth of the river with a woman on board around 7 a.m., according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The woman was described as about 50-years-old with gray hair, and wasn't seen wearing a lifejacket.
Multiple agencies, including the Essex Harbor Master and Gloucester Harbor Master, assisted in the search.
