Cold But Dry Conditions Expected Over Next Few Days

Our dry stretch will roll on. It has been nine days without measurable rain in Boston. There has been a trace of rain recorded at Boston Logan Airport twice during those nine days – the first on Dec. 3 and the second on Dec. 6. Our dry stretch will stick around for a few more days.

It will be cold for the next few days. With the cold air moving over the warm ocean water, snow showers will be possible along the coast. The threat for snow showers is greatest along the New Hampshire seacoast and Maine coast during the day on Tuesday.

By Wednesday, the wind direction will shift and parts of southeast Massachusetts could see some snow showers. In some of the most intense snow showers, up to an inch of snow is possible.

We’ll warm up by the end of the week. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 40s by the end of the week. Our weather will remain quiet until Friday night.

The weekend looks wet. Winds may kick up as well, especially along the coast. An early call looks like up to an inch of rain is possible. Once we get into next week, the temperatures will drop off to the 30s and low 40s, which is close to average for this time of year.
