Cold Causes Some JetBlue Delays

The deep freeze that has taken over Boston has also frozen some flights.

JetBlue was forced to delay most of its departures from Logan Airport Sunday because of problems caused by the sub zero temperatures.

"The safety of our customers and crewm embers in this extreme winter weather is our first priority," a spokesperson wrote in an emailed statement to necn. "Some airport ground operations are limited today, and we are working to service aircraft efficiently and safely in the cold temperatures."

"we have to get back to school," said Sanam Bhalla. "We have classes tomorrow, so it's a bit annoying."

Bhalla was in a group of Washington & Jefferson College students trying to get back to Pittsburg. They were in town for the Harvard Model United Nations Conference.

The airline's Twitter account told one complaining passenger that the overnight freezing of some equipment was at least partly to blame for the delays.

Those concerned about missing a flight can check the airline's website for up-to-the-minute flight information.
