Cold Red Sox-Yankees Game Tuesday Ahead of Wet Weekend

Tuesday will continue to be cool. Expect high temperatures in the mid 40s. Showers will return during the late morning and early afternoon.

It's possible that a few of the higher elevations could see a few wet snowflakes. The Red Sox take on the Yankees at 7:10 p.m. Showers will continue and temperatures will hover around 40 degrees. Make sure you dress in layers if you're heading to the game – it will be cold.

Wednesday will be nice. The sun will be shining and high temperatures will reach 50. The temporary lull in the shower activity is short-lived. Thursday, clouds will increase once again. Showers will move through during the day as a warm front lifts north.

Friday and Saturday will be warm – at least for some of us. A stationary front will get stuck somewhere over New England. It appears Route 2 in Massachusetts will be the dividing line. To the north, the cooler, cloudier air will be stubborn. South of the front, the sunshine will return and temperatures will reach the 60s and even 70s.

Rain returns by Sunday. At this point, the timing isn't set in stone, but a significant rainfall is looking more and more probable. Over an inch of rain is possible.

Unfortunately, the rain may linger into Monday. Hopefully, the bulk of the rain will wrap up by dawn, but any delay in the frontal passage will keep the rain going through Marathon Monday. Stay tuned!
