College Student in Court on Gun, Drug Charges

A Massachusetts college student was in court Monday morning after a tip led officers to find a gun, ammunition and drugs inside his dorm room.

Milton Police arrested Darius Boodoosingh, a student at Curry College, Friday.

Boodoosingh faces charges of firearm and ammunition possession and carrying a firearm on school grounds. He also faces one count each of possession of Class C, D and E substances with intent to distribute, as well as three counts of possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.

School officials say Boodoosingh has been put on interim suspension, but say they don't believe there's any threat to the campus. The judge ordered his family to collect his things from Curry College.

The suspect was released on $10,000 bail.

It was not immediately clear whether Boodoosingh had an attorney.
