The driver of the Comcast Bucket truck that allegedly struck and killed 4-year-old Savannah Curran last October is facing charges

The driver of a Comcast truck is facing charges after his vehicle allegedly struck and killed a 4-year-old girl in Holbrook, Massachusetts in October 2017.

Robert Johnson, 55, of Scituate faces charged of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation in connection to the death of Savannah Curran, 4, of Holbrook on October 7.

Initial reports of the scene stated that the young girl ran into the street outside her home on Fargo Road around 1 p.m., when she was struck by a Comcast bucket truck. Curran was taken to South Shore Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.

Police noted that Johnson stayed on the scene and was cooperative with police.

The girl's grandmother was also hospitalized after the accident after going into shock.

The charges filed against Johnson on Tuesday February 20 come after the state completed their investigation into the crash, said Holbrook police.

Johnson will be subject to a clerk magistrate's hearing at Quincy District Court at a later date.

It is unclear if he has an attorney.
